To me, sports are more than just something to do for fun. I originally joined sports to have a good time, but in the time I've spent looking for the enjoyment I’ve found within myself discipline, respect, and courage. None of these would’ve been uncovered if it wasn't for Mancelona athletics.

Playing as a Mancelona athlete has really shown me what life is all about. The work put in and time taken to improve your skills gives me a good feeling in my stomach. Pushing with your team to compete in close games and good teams really makes your adrenaline kick, and it pushes you to your limits where your mindset is desired. Most importantly, brotherhood is what I love most about Mancelona high school sports. Playing with people who you have had throughout Elementary to High School makes you feel like a family. The temptation to play was always hard to hold back from at MHS.
